I’ve been involved in the life insurance industry since 1986 in a variety of aspects. My credentials include Fellow,Life Management Institute (FLMI), Chartered Financial Services Broker (CFSB) and I’ve completed a number of exams from the Society of Actuaries. I am well known in actuarial circles for being the former webmaster at the Actuarial Rebel Outpost, the internet’s largest actuarial discussion forum.

In addition to being an independent broker, I consult with hundreds of insurance agents and insurance companies across Canada and the United States on competitive analysis of premiums, online database of life insurance rates, and online sales methods. I was quoted in the Investment Executive industry newspaper in October 2007.

My spare time I spend fishing and ATV’ing with my family. I also play badminton and in 2007 I won the Velma Krempien award at the Stratford Badminton Club. (That means I’m a good sport, not that I’m a good player, which I’m not.)

I specialize in term life insurance in Canada. Rather than a ’sales’ approach, I take an educational approach to life insurance. I don’t promote any one company or type of product specifically. Instead, I educate my clients on the various options, in an understandable fashion. I then prefer to use numerical methods rather than emotional ones to determine the amount of life insurance needed. Armed with this knowledge my clients are then able to shop the market and find the least expensive policies that are the best for them.
